Parr de trois; a trio of new contemporary dance choreography

Join us for an evening of dance in the undiscovered Parrs Bank. Local choreographers Joseph Reay Reid, Lauren Tucker and Sarah Bateman will present a triple bill of new work choreographed for the WCAF in the recently renovated Grade II listed building which dates back to 1877. This is a unique opportunity to experience local dance talent in sanctuary of The Parrs Bank, a pillar of Warrington’s rich history.

Featuring new work by:

Joseph Reay-Reid is an artist from the North West of England.

His practice is focused acutely on high physicality and exhaustion technique. He believes that through experiencing exhaustion, an artist will truly reveal themselves. The visceral work Joseph creates with these technique bridges the gap between raw energy and individual sensitivity.

Lauren Tucker dance artist and digital thinker, dance influencer, experience curator and seeker, cultural activist and adrenaline junkie. Her portfolio career enables Lauren to carry out a variery of roles, whilst on a personal quest to empower people to live a creative life.

Sarah Bateman is a professional Choreographer, Dancer, and Qualified Teacher in Dance from Warrington. Sarah’s training began as KSDance LTD where she then went to complete her 3 years undergraduate training at London Contemporary Dance school, gaining a first in my BA Hons in Contemporary dance.

Following her studies, Sarah worked professionally with Theatre St Gallen, Switzerland performing roles in operas, musicals, original contemporary pieces, and on site specific locations. Sarah also had the opportunity to assist choreographers, in creating text/dialogue and dance material for specific pieces. In 2019, she completed her MA in Contemporary Dance gaining a first. Since leaving Switzerland, I have worked in Germany and the UK as a freelance dance artist; teaching, choreographing, creating, performing, and working on small projects.
