The centrepiece of this year’s Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival programme is Museum of the Moon, a touring artwork installation by internationally renowned artist Luke Jerram. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon is an internally-lit spherical sculpture; the installation is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight and surround sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello-award winning composer Dan Jones. In addition to plenty of free, family-friendly viewing opportunities there will also be a variety of unmissable events taking place beneath the moon at Parr Hall as part of a wider programme designed to inspire engagement with this spectacular artwork.
