A message from our Chair this Christmas

As we approach the festive season, I want to take a moment to wish all our supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Your enthusiasm and commitment have made my first year as Chair of Culture Warrington truly special.

2025 has been an incredible year for arts and culture in our town. We kicked off summer with the Warrington Arts Festival, which brought the community together for nine days of creativity and joy.

Who could forget the Family Garden Party in Queens Gardens, the spectacular Starsaucer finale in Bank Park, or the vibrant celebration of heritage through dance in Patois?

We also saw inspiring installations like Grandma’s House, a life-sized knitted home suspended in Parr Hall, and the nostalgic nod to Warrington’s nightlife with From Mr Smiths, With Love. These events showcased the power of art to unite people of all ages and backgrounds.

As the year draws to a close, our venues continue to buzz with activity – from exhibitions like Emergency on Planet Earth and Bountiful Botany at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, to unforgettable live performances at Parr Hall including Fatboy Slim, Inspiral Carpets, and festive favourites like the upcoming Beauty and the Beast.

Reflecting on my first year, I feel proud of how Culture Warrington has strengthened its role as a hub for creativity and community spirit. Not forgetting the powerhouse of a team that sit behind the organisation. Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to an even more exciting 2026!

Warm wishes,

Claire Lloyd-Fitzgerald
