Young filmmakers wanted for ‘Made By Me’ showcase
Are you a budding filmmaker, visual storyteller or digital creative, aged 16 to 25, with a connection to Warrington or its surrounding areas?
Whether you live, work or study here, this is your opportunity to share your voice through film.
We’re excited to launch Made By Me, a dedicated short film event spotlighting the creativity and originality of young filmmakers as part of this year’s Warrington Arts Festival. This is your platform to showcase your unique perspective and passion for storytelling – whether it’s a music video that moves, a documentary that informs, or an animation that captures hearts.
🌟 What We’re Looking For:
We welcome short films of all genres and styles, including:
- 🎵 Music videos
- 🎙️ Documentaries
- 🎞️ Animations
- 🎭 Experimental films, dramas, comedies, and more
🎥 Submission Requirements:
- Age: 16–25 years old
- Location: Open to anyone with a connection to Warrington or nearby areas (residents, students, workers etc.)
- Length: Films must be around 15 minutes total
- Multiple entries are welcome – submit more than one film if you have them!
💡 Why Submit?
Made By Me isn’t your average film screening – it’s a celebration of young, emerging talent who have a passion for the film industry! Selected films will be showcased at a special public screening during Warrington Arts Festival on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, with the chance to have your work seen by local audiences and fellow creatives.
This is a unique platform to:

- Connect with fellow creatives
- Build your portfolio
- Take part in a professional arts festival with real-world exposure
Whether it’s your first film or your tenth, we want to see work that reflects you – your creativity, your curiosity, your connection to the world around you.

Deadline for submissions: End of the day on Sunday, 8 June
All submissions will be reviewed by Warrington Arts Festival’s Young Producers and the wider team. Successful filmmakers will be notified via email. We are not able to provide feedback for unsuccessful applicants.
